Villa Walton since 1904
Villa Walton is set in the quiet historic village of Walton in Matamata, part of the beautiful Waikato. The villa has been an integral part of the village since 1904 when a family who farmed on the property built it.
The original homestead was known in the area for the beautiful cottage gardens and specimen trees. There are some beautiful examples of a hundred plus year old Kauri, Copper beech and magnificent Kowhai and Magnolia trees which are ably supported by hundreds of roses and dahlias and other flowers and varietals, creating an amazing garden experience.
During its history, there have been many families live in the villa with each generation adding their love and attention to the property.
Come and enjoy our wonderful property and stop to take a break from your busy schedule.
There are many Victorian features inside the villa including original tiled fireplaces, polished floors, leadlight windows and doors and high ceilings. The villa has been transformed to keep its original features.
The original boiler room has been lovingly renovated into a gorgeous and very private cottage that is now available as a B&B.
Situated in close proximity to a wide range of activities including Hobbiton, this villa is an opportunity for people to enjoy the experience of being on a farm in the heart of the NZ dairy country but close to the main highways.
